Mr. Benson's 6th Grade
Class
Looking back, sixth
grade was the highlight of my own elementary school years. It is
with this fond memory that I feel so fortunate to be teaching my
favorite grade and age group. Let's face it, sixth graders
rock!
Throughout the year,
we will be learning about many new and interesting topics. All the
while, students will be preparing for the next step along their
educational journey, into middle school. Just as we will be
improving our reading, writing and math skills, we will also be
learning the importance of citizenship, organization, and
critical thinking.
The 2008/2009 school year
promises to be fun, challenging and rewarding for all of us. It is
my intention that each student succeeds at school and beyond. In
other words, school isn't just about completing school work and
getting a grade, it's really about becoming a life-long learner.
Hopefully students as well as parents will find this website
helpful as it will be updated periodically with useful resources
for school work as well as other fun stuff. Welcome to room
33!
