Welcome to Kindergarten and the Brookside community!  I am very excited for the 2017-2018 school year.  This is my eleventh year teaching.  I have taught in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington with grades ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade.  I received my undergraduate B.A. with two majors, Theatre and Education, at the College of William and Mary.  I then obtained my M.S. in Instructional Education at Saint Joseph's University and a Gifted Education Endorsement at Virginia Commonwealth University.  I have truly enjoyed (rather loved) teaching students at all grade levels and feel the range of experience helps me better understand how children develop cognitively, emotionally and socially.  My goal is to promote a warm environment where ALL children can and want to learn.  My focus is to foster kindness, responsibility, and respect in our youngest students and help them begin their exciting journey into education.

Brookside Elementary is a very supportive community.  I have the good fortune to be both a parent and a teacher at this school.  My twin daughters are in second grade and my son is an eighth grader at Kellogg Middle School.  My family and I love spending our time skiing, hiking, swimming, reading and relaxing in the great Northwest.
