Mrs. O'Brien and Mrs. Harris
Mrs O'Brien was raised on Bainbridge Island. This is her seventh
year at Brookside and she loves first grade!
Her family all lives close by so she gets to spend lots of time
with them. She has a niece and nephew who live in Kingston
that provide her with lots of laughter and entertainment. At
home she lives with her husband Jess, their black lab Ollie and two
grey cats Fred and Lily.
In her spare time Mrs O loves to play with her animals, bake, read
and spend time with friends and family.
Mrs. O'Brien's Thoughts on Teaching: "It is a great job with
amazing rewards. Our class is great and I love the Brookside
community!"
Mrs Harris is so glad to be at Brookside this year! She finds
it hard to believe that she has been teaching for over twenty
years. Most of her experience has been working in the primary
grades. She has also taught in the library and provided
learning support to students in K-3. She is looking forward
to an exciting year in 1st grade!
Mrs. Harris lives at home with her husband Mitch, two sons Gavin
and Grant and their two furry friends, dogs Max and Toby.
