Welcome to 2nd grade!! My name is
Jennifer Welch and I will be your child's teacher. This is my 3rd
year at Brookside Elementary, while my 11th year in
Shoreline.
I
began my career teaching special education at Echo Lake and then
moved to ELL (ESL) for eight. While I was teaching at North City,
the district had to make several difficult financial decisions,
which is what brought me to Brookside. I love teaching 2nd grade
and am very excited for my new group of students!!
Personally, I completed my M. Ed. degree in Educational Leadership
and graduted in June 2009. I enjoyed my internship experiences this
past year and was able to observe many fantastic teachers, both at
Brookside and other buildings. I have two children who attend
Ridgecrest Elementary in Shoreline. My son is in 6th grade, while
my daughter is in 3rd.
When
I'm not working at school, I enjoy being with my family and friends
and I love watching sports!!
