Welcome to first grade! This is my ninth year at Echo Lake and my
fourth year in first grade. I can’t wait to see how much our
class learns and grows. We are going to read, write, count, sing,
dance, laugh and share our way through this school year. Look out!
Our Teacher
I have taught for nine years in the Shoreline School District here
at Echo Lake. Prior to this, I worked in a middle school as an ELL
Title 1 assistant, and before that in a Montessori school in a
primary classroom.
I grew up in Vermont and still have my parents there. I received
my undergraduate degree (Liberal Arts BA) from Wesleyan University
in Middletown, Connecticut. I earned my Masters in Teaching at the
University of Washington in 2000.
Hobbies/ interests: reading, reading, reading, sewing, baking,
walking, ultimate frisbee, and movies. I have two nephews and
a niece who live in Canada and I visit them as much as possible! I
also have two crazy kitty cats who live in my condo with me.
They are named Buttercup and Baxter.
