2008 Tooth Tally

Dear Room Nine Writers,
In February we will start
meeting other classes in our tooth tally project. We need to
begin thinking about what we want to share with them. I
thought it would be a good idea to tell the other first graders how
many teeth each of us has lost.
With your partner, add up
how many teeth you have lost in all. For example, if I lost 2
teeth and Mrs. Pihl lost 3 teeth, we might write: "Ms. Nichols and Mrs. Pihl have lost 5 teeth
in all. We each have one wiggly
tooth."
Make sure you start your
sentences with CAPITALS and
end with a period. Check with me
before you post your reply.
