Our Teacher
- This is my 26th year of teaching in
Shoreline. 15 of those years have been spent at Echo
Lake!
- B.A. in Education from Central Washington
University, 1982
- M.A. in Education from CWU, 1986
- I have enjoyed being a member of the EL
technology committee, and working with staff and students to make
technology integration a natural part of instruction and
learning.
- In Spring 2000 I was project coordinator for the
Rollout of the Classroom/Teacher iMacs at EL.
- April 2002 -- recipient of the Bill and Melinda
Gates- Teacher Learning Project Grant for the use of
iBook-Technology and its Integration into the
classroom.
- November 2002 -- recipient of the Shoreline
Public Schools Foundation Grant for Write on Track with 6
Traits!
- Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my husband,
Larry Tombelaine and three children, Crystal 24, Ashley 16, and
Gregory 14. We enjoy traveling together and watching the
children play on sports teams almost every weekend.
- I enjoy teaching fitness classes, and YOGA !!!
My focus has been on mind body classes to improve our
health, creating choreography, and teaching exercise classes set to
music.
- I enjoy all types of books: Classic
Literuature (My Favorite Novel is Jane Eyre by Charlotte
Bronte, written in 1847) children's literature, physical science,
historical fiction, yoga and pilates.
