Such a great group of seventh graders!

Our group work is improving day by day. Soon, we will be digging into complex tasks with one another and stretching our mathematical thinking. Feel those brains grow!

Make sure you put the Open House, this Thursday the first of October, on your calendar. See you then!

Hello and welcome to seventh grade math! Whether you are in one of my team taught sections, or an afternoon class, I promise that I will be working very hard this year, making sure that everyone grows as a mathematician.

In our modern world, most people have access to very sophisticated calculators right at their fingertips. Therefore, the emphasis in this class isn't calculation, but understanding. We will be developing the logic and reasoning skills that all individuals need to survive and thrive in our fast-paced, global community regardless of whether they choose a career in a mathematical field.

For college-minded people, you should be aware that math, fairly or unfairly, is a 'gateway' subject to college. Those who do well in math simply have more doors, more choices, open to them. We here at Einstein want you to reach your goals, whatever they may be, and a solid math background will keep as many of those options as open as possible.
