Nov. 9 - 13

In social studies 7, we are beginning a new unit , Latin America.  We'll start by making a map of Latin America.  Then we will learn about three dominant cultures, the Aztec, the Inca and the Maya.  Check out the note-taking graphic organizer in the "Documents" page.  Also, you'll find a website with information about the Aztec "chinampas" in the "Links" page.

Espanol I students will be moving on to Chapter 1 in the textbook.  We are learning how to talk about favorite activites.  This week, we'll work on a "Me Gusta" wheel and view a wacky video that features clips of black and white movies and contemporary actors using the phrase, ¡Me gusta!

GRADUATION REQUIREMENT

As stated at the beginning of the year, this trimester is a graduation requirement for all state high schools.  If you don't pass this trimester, your counselor will be notified.  You will need to then take a credit recovery course or community college course between now and 12th grade in order to earn your high school diploma.
