In
social studies 7, we are beginning a new unit , Latin
America. We'll start by making a map of Latin America.
Then we will learn about three dominant cultures, the Aztec, the
Inca and the Maya. Check out the note-taking graphic
organizer in the "Documents" page. Also, you'll find a
website with information about the Aztec "chinampas" in the "Links"
page.
Espanol I students will be moving on to Chapter 1 in the
textbook. We are learning how to talk about favorite
activites. This week, we'll work on a "Me Gusta" wheel and
view a wacky video that features clips of black and white movies
and contemporary actors using the phrase, ¡Me
gusta!
LATE
POLICY
If a student wants to hand in an assignment AFTER the due date,
s/he may use a LATE PASS. Periods 1, 3, 4, & 5 may use
two per trimester. Period 6 may use one per trimester.
All other late assignments will earn a maximum of 70%
credit.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENT
As
stated at the beginning of the year, this trimester is a graduation
requirement for all state high schools. If you don't pass
this trimester, your counselor will be notified. You will
need to then take a credit recovery course or community college
course between now and 12th grade in order to earn your high school
diploma.
