IMPORTANT NEWS AND UPDATES COAT DRIVE
With the permission of Mr. VanOrden, Highland
Terrace is sponsoring a coat drive for THE WORKS, from October 26
to November 6. To efficiently get the word out to our
community.The details are: -Coat drive for clean, used coats for children and teens from October 26 to November 6 at Highland Terrace. -Please drop off coats in the box in the front lobby. -Coats will be donated to THE WORKS, a Shoreline PTA Council Family Resource, which provides clothing support to Shoreline school disctrict families. Thank you very much! Camp Dates: May 17 - May 21 Highland Terrace students and Echo Lake students attend together. Cabins have 8-9 girls or 8-9 boys, all from the same school. One counselor sleeps in each cabin with students. Study groups for 4 daily 1 1/2 hour classes are composed of students from both schools. Classes consist of: environmental studies, team building activities, and challenge activities Estimated Cost: $320.00 per student Cabin Counselors are high school juniors and seniors. Selection process includes reference checks, interviews, and official police background checks. Teachers and school nurse are supervising around the clock! School principals spend 2-3 days at camp. Fundraising Opportunities for Camp At our October conference, we will discuss the Basket Raffle, Spring Plant Sale, and Poinsettia and Wreath sale in November as ways students can earn money toward their camp payments. Many students have money in their accounts from last spring's walk-a-thon. I will have updated information on each student's money earned to date.
