I would like to welcome you
and your child to a time full of learning and exploration! I
am excited to embark on this journey of learning with your
student. With your help, encouragement, and teamwork your
child will accomplish many things throughout this
year.
I believe that every child brings
important and unique talents into the classroom and the
world. By creating a safe environment, every child feels
accepted and appreciated. Our classroom welcomes students to
be themselves while getting an education, as well as learning vital
lessons from each other. I believe in maintaining each
child’s self-esteem and building a secure foundation for
future growth.
Open communication is a cornerstone
to my teaching. Please know that I am always available to
speak or meet with you regarding any concerns or ideas either of us
may have. You can reach me by email at
tizbee.holm@shorelineschools.org.
I recently graduated from City
University with my Master in Teaching-- Special Education. I
was given the amazing opportunity to complete my student teaching
and internships in a severe/profound and medically fragile
classroom at Shorewood High School under the cooperation of
Veronica Cook. I finished the 2007-2008 school year here at
Highland Terrace as a long-term substitute for Sarah Bayle.
The lessons I learned from the students and staff were
life-changing. I have definitely found my niche in
teaching!
I am looking forward to getting to
know you and your child, and having a great school
year!
