Kellogg National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Selection to the Kellogg NJHS is a privilege. Eligible eighth grade students with a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA are invited to provide information to be used by the Faculty Council to support their candidacy for membership. Membership is not automatically conveyed simply because a student has achieved a specified level of academic performance. Membership is granted to those students who value character, leadership and service. Being a member of NJHS takes a significant commitment on the part of the student.  In many cases, students will be needed to perform services outside of school, during lunch and before/after the school day.  Please feel free to contact the adviser to discuss the selection process or the commitments needed to be a member of NJHS.
