About
me: This is my 5th year teaching in Shoreline and 4th at
Kellogg. I graduated from Clemson University (go Tigers), and
moved to Seattle 5 years ago from Atlanta, GA. I love
teaching and working with the students at Kellogg and find each
year brings more interesting students my way. When I am not
at school I am usually at home working on my house/yard, or going
back and forth from all of the activities my two daughters
participate in. You will learn more throughout the
year.
The Class: This 7th
grade course will first cover the basics of geography and then
proceed into the history, geography, and government of Washington
State, from statehood to the present. In addition, this
course includes the study of World History from 600-1600, in the
following areas: the Islamic world, Europe, Japan, Central America,
and the African kingdoms. Furthermore, research skills will be
taught to assist students with long-term projects in these
areas.
