Expectations for Homework
- As a general rule,
students should do at least two to four assignments each
month. More is always O.K. (It is understood that, at
times, these goals may need to be adjusted to fit your family
circumstances.)
- Work should be the
student’s own, as much as possible, and it should be
neat. It is fine to use a computer, and to have younger
students dictate things that may be too difficult or time-consuming
to write out on their own.
- Put completed
homework into the Homework Basket in the morning when you get to
school.
- You should be
prepared to share your homework with the class, if asked to do
so.
Please allow your child
to choose projects that he/she will enjoy, while at the same time,
encouraging him/her to make choices appropriate to his/her current
developmental stage. These should be fun learning experiences
for you as a family!
