Dear Third Graders,
My name is Ms. Andersen and I will be your
new third grade teacher! I am looking forward to this year and I
can't wait to share with you all the wonderful things we will be
learning. First, let me tell you a little bit about
myself.
I grew up in Tucson, Arizona and moved to
Seattle ten years ago. I completed my Master's in Teaching
degree at the University of Washington in 2005. When I am not
teaching at Meridian Park, I LOVE to read books, write letters to
relatives and friends, go on outdoor adventures, wander through
local farmer's markets, see live music, play Cribbage, and
travel.
This year is going to be an amazing
year. In science we will study geology, plant and life
cycles, and the physics of sound. We will also learn about
fractions, multiplication, and triple digit addition and
subtraction in math. Also, everyday we will read together as
a class, with partners, and in small groups.
I hope you had a great summer and
spent some time outside in the Seattle sunshine. I can't wait to
meet you and I look forward to starting all our learning adventures
together! See you on Wednesday, September 2.
