Dunbar's Speech and Language Page
Welcome to a new school year! I
will be working with students in Mrs. Rasmussen's, Mrs. Overton's
and Mrs. Ward's classrooms this year. Students will work with
me in a variety of formats, ranging from one on one, through small
group, to whole class instruction. We'll start in the fall
with the overall areas of appropriate greetings, introducing
ourselves, classroom vocabulary and directions, and school
routines. Students will also receive targeted, individualized
instruction on their IEP goals and objectives. I use
technology to motivate students and reinforce their communication
goals. More information is available in my newsletter (see
documents) which will be sent home and distributed on Curriculum
Night (Sept. 18th, 6:30 p.m.).
New Families: You will find
social stories to help your child transition in the category "New
Student Transitions." Play or print and read as a book to
help your child get familiar with his or her new class, teacher and
routine.
