Dear Parents,
My name is Faye Rasmussen and I will be your child’s teacher
this year. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to
the 2008-2009 school year. This school year is going to be a
wonderful one. With the assistance of my para-educators the
students of room 11 will participate in a variety of exciting
learning experiences.
Once again, we will be working with other teachers and
classes. Classes will be blended together for a variety of learning
experiences. It is always fun for the students and teachers to work
together.
On a daily basis students will need to have a folder for
carrying papers back and forth. Folders will need to be checked
each evening and sent back to school the following school day. At
times we will do special projects that won’t fit in the
folders, I would suggest that you provide some type of carrier,
such as a backpack, everyday for our projects. The folders and the
backpacks help to promote good organization and responsibility. I
also ask that each student have a composition book to be used for
Parent/Teacher communications. The Parent/Teacher communication
books are carried back and forth each day but are only used on an
as needed basis, they do however provide a consistent communication
pathway.
I also want to take this time to invite you to be an active
participant in your child’s education. Your thoughts, ideas
and opinions are always welcome; do not hesitate to call me
