Medication at School

The following information relates to medication at school

  • A doctor’s order, signed by the parents, is required for all medications given at school. This includes prescription and over-the-counter medication.
  • If at all possible, medication should be given at home
  • All medication must be kept in the Health Office, unless we have a signed form from the parent and doctor allowing the student to carry emergency medication in their backpack
  • For short-term medications, parents can come to school and administer it to their student themselves
  • See documents link to the left for all required paperwork
  • Shoreline medication policy can be found here and here
