Welcome to the
home page of the RNCS K-8 Technology and More Classes. All students
will work on improving their knowledge and experience around
technology. We will also work on other projects that stretch our
thinking in new ways. Here you will find news on what is happening
in our classes.
Sandra's
Philosophy:
I am deeply committed to Room Nine Community School's philosophy of
teaching students how to learn so they can take responsibility for
their own learning. It is my job to give students the
necessary tools and to create with the students a safe and engaging
environment to achieve this goal.
Sandra's
Background:
This is my third year teaching at Room Nine Community School. I
received my K-8 Teaching Certificate from the University of
Washington, Bothell. I have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience (how the brain
works) and completed a postdoc researching how the brain
integrates information. I live in Seattle with my husband and 2
kids (third one is in college). My hobbies are running and playing
Ultimate Frisbee. I wish I could say that I like home repair but
currently our house is in a state of mild disrepair!
