Education and Background
I graduated from Arlington High School in 1995.  After that I moved to Seattle and attended the University of Washington until 1997.  Once I finally figured out what I wanted to do with my life I transferred to Central Washington University and graduated in 2000 with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education with a minor in Health Education.

While I was attending Central I volunteered over 600 hours over 3 years.  I started as a Teen Parent Mentor, became a Maternity Case Manager and continued to work with teen parents to meet basic needs like housing, clothing, food, etc., moved on to be a state certified volunteer advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault where I worked in the women's shelter, ran the children's group, and did other various tasks. I've always believed that it's important to give to your community.
