A Message from
Eichner
Dear SC
Students/Families:
I would like
to welcome you to what is bound to be another great year at
Shorecrest. I am looking forward to working with each you of
this year.
For those of
you who do not know me, I want to take this opportunity to
introduce myself. My name is Corey Eichner and I am beginning
my 6th year teaching at Shorecrest. I teach US History, and
also serve as the Activity Coordinator – so you can find me
either in my classroom or in the Activity Office down in the
SAC.
I earned my
Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies and Master’s in
Administration from Western Washington University.
I am excited
to be a teacher, and thrilled to have the opportunity to be here in
Shoreline. My passion for my job is very apparent, something
I use to help create enthusiasm in my classroom. I believe in
my students, believe that they can succeed at anything they put
their mind to, and do not hide that I have very high expectations
for them. I work hard to provide a positive learning
environment for all my students and expect that in return, they
take ownership in their education and work hard to reach their
potential. While I like to have fun in my classroom I am also
very serious about learning and providing a quality education to
all students.
Outside of my
work I value the time I can spend with both my family and
friends. I am an avid water-skier, love to hike, and on the
good seasons, also enjoy snowboarding during the winter
months. Having just finished my principal certification I
spent this past summer relaxing taking some small trips to
California, Bellingham, the Columbia River, and a few others. I am
a true Washingtonian, living in downtown Seattle, enjoy my daily
coffee, and am a die-hard Seahawks fan (GO HAWKS!).
I am so
excited to be back for another great year here at Shorecrest.
This is an unbelievable school and community to work in and I am
looking forward to working with you and in my new role as the
Activities Coordinator. Attached you will find a copy of my
academic plan. Please take the time to review the guidelines
for this course and let me know if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
Corey
Eichner
