Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome you to my Mathematics class. I hope that we will find
that this year will be a great learning experience for us
all. I am writing to explain how I would love for you to be
involved with the education of your child in as many ways as you
can. Research has shown that parental involvement in a
child’s education is of vital importance, so I encourage you
to do whatever you can to help our students strive for success.
As you know, there are many ways you can help your children succeed
at school. Talk to them about school, attend school
conferences, both formal and informal, and provide a homework area,
to mention but a few. Another is to show an interest in
grades, which is why I will make grades available online.
We know that student achievement is greatly affected by
parents’ attitudes and beliefs. Your involvement in
your child’s education is crucial to them reaching their full
potential, so I look forward to working with you in the coming
school year.
