US Representin' HIP-HOP culture at it's finest, the Shorecrest Dance Team has been an exciting part of Shorecrest and the community. With their crowd pleasing moves and highly anticipated dance routines, they have amazed many crowds wherever they perform. Striving to be better everytime, they practice hard everyday to master their routines and look as good as possible. The dance team participates in school assemblies, basketball and football games, community service events, and several WIAA Dance/Drill Competitions. They meet regularly every week with Coach Rex Kinney at the Shoreline Center's Spartan Gym where they learn and perfect their routines for the year. Career Specialist, Robin Martin, coordinates the teams day to day activities and serves as the Faculty Advisor. Starting out as an after school ASB Club, the
team has grown into an award winning dance group. It has won
several WIAA Dance/Drill Competitions,
District Titles, and a State Championship Title. Tryouts are every Spring in April To prepare for the auditions, we recommend that you train and take classes at Westlake Dance Center with Coach/Choreographer, Rex Kinney, on Monday evenings at 7:30pm. http://www.westlakedance.com For more comprehensive
