Welcome to my Website. My name is Wayne Abney and I have
been teaching Power Technology in Shoreline since 2000. In
addition, I have taught Auto Shop since 1991, and Woodshop for 10
years and counting. Also, I have taught English and I have a
Bachelor's of Arts in English as well as a technology degree.
Shorecrest is a great place to get started in a vocational /
technical career. Many of our past students have earned ASE
certifications in automotive, some are in college or
technical studies like engineering, and some have received
advanced placement in the military.
This year I will be teaching a Construction Class which stresses
the basics. I recommend Wood Shop as a class to develop the
necessary skills. Parents with a construction background are
invited to help with this class.
I am fortunate to work for a school district committed to
technical education. Furthermore, I can truly say that I continue
to be impressed with the students and their eagerness to learn.
