My dog, Murphy, in Pebble Beach, California.
Welcome to Ms. Moquin's Swift Page

I was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up there and in Southern California. I received my B.A. in Journalism from Cal State Fullerton, my teaching certificate from Cal State Northridge, my Masters in Education from the University of Washington and my administrative certificate through Western Washington University. I've taught for more than 20 years years, at all levels, elementary, junior high and high school. I've been at Shorewood since 1999, and have served as the yearbook advisor; department chair for Directed Studies; and the Dean of Students. I am currently a classroom teacher, and department chair for Directed Studies (Special Education), as well as junior class co-advisor with Mr. Oliveto.
I've previously worked in the journalism field as a writer at the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register. I was also an editor at Performing Arts magazine in Los Angeles. My husband and I live in the Seattle area with our fluff monster, Murphy.
