Students in Mr. Haner's US History and World History classes will find day-to-day class information, including assignments, on Google Classroom.  Students must make sure they have Google Classroom installed on their iPads and plan on having their charged iPads with them for every class period, as we will utilize them regularly.

Under the Documents & Announcements links to the left, you will find course syllabi for both classes.  Most, if not all, remaining documents will go on Google Classroom.

My background... I studied social and political communication at the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!), and always loved my history classes.  One of my favorite classes at the UW was a summer course I took called "History of the Atomic Bomb."  I received my Master's in Teaching from WGU and began teaching at Shorewood in fall of 2014.

I am also the head girls' basketball coach here at Shorewood, help out with district events at the Shoreline Stadium, and run the after school weight room program during the fall.  This means that I'm around a lot, if not always in my room.  I make it my goal to be available in my classroom from 7:30 - 3:00 daily.  I am often in my room during lunch, so students may often reach me then, as well.  If I am not in my room, you can send an email to mark.haner@shorelineschools.org and I'll do my best to get to it ASAP.  I try to keep school business to standard school hours, so if your email is sent after 3:30, it may take me until the next school day for me to reply.

Thanks!  Looking forward to a great 2015-2016 school year!
