¿Quién es la
profesora?
Yo soy nativa de Seattle y me gradué de
Garfield High School. Después, asistí a
Haverford College en Pennsylvania y me gradué de allí
summa cum laude con una licenciatura en la literatura comparada y
los estudios feministas. Durante ese periodo, pasé un
año en San José, Costa Rica como estudiante de
intercambio y viajé extensivamente en América
Latina. Tengo una maestría en la literatura comparada
con énfasis en la literatura poscolonial escrita en
español, portugués, e inglés de la Universidad
de Washington. Enseñé español en la
Universidad por tres años. Después,
recibí un grado de maestría en la enseñanza de
Seattle University. Hace diez años que enseño
en SW y me gusta mucho. Cuando no estoy trabajando, paso
tiempo con mis dos hijos, Alice (7 años) y Saul (4
años), trabajo en mi jardín, cocino, y hago yoga.
Who is the
teacher?
I am a native of Seattle and a graduate of Garfield
High School. I attended Haverford College in Pennsylvania and
graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Comparative Literature and a
minor in Feminist and Gender Studies. During that time, I
studied at the University of Costa Rica and travelled extensively
in Latin America. I have a master's degree from the
University of Washington in Comparative Literature with emphasis in
postcolonial literature written in English, Spanish, and
Portuguese. I taught Spanish at the University of Washington
for three years and then earned my Masters in Teaching from Seattle
University. I have been teaching at Shorewood for ten years
and I like it a lot! When I'm not working, I can be found
with my two kids, Alice (7 years) and Saul (3 years) or working in
my garden, cooking and doing yoga.
