A little about me...
I
grew up in Memphis, TN and earned a B.A. in Journalism from Memphis
State University (now the U of Memphis) and a Master's in Teaching
from Seattle U.
This year marks my 13th at Shorewood. I am active in the state and
national journalism education associations and believe strongly in
student press freedom. Once a month, the SAT keeps me busy as I am
the test center supervisor for Shorewood.
Before teaching, I worked for Memphis magazine, the Memphis Flyer,
and Seattle Weekly.
I am married with two awesome kids, Max (5) and Aneke (9). I
love watching live theater and usually get to at least one play a
month. I enjoy reading novels, plays, poems, newspapers and a few
magazines. My favorite poets to read are currently Seamus Heaney
and Elizabeth Bishop.
