Mrs. Amy Pottinger grew up in Englewood, Colorado. In high school, her favorite things were participating in school plays, band and choir, playing volleyball and basketball, and spending time with friends. Her love of theatre and music continued into college where she performed in many more plays and musicals.
Mrs. Pottinger attended Hastings College in Nebraska where she graduated with BA’s in English, Theatre Arts and Secondary Education. After graduating from college, she moved back to Colorado and taught high school English and Theatre in the northwest part of the state for ten years. There she learned how to teach, snowboard and ski, mountain bike and hike, cook and knit. In 2006 shemarried her best friend, Chris. She went on to earn a graduate degree in Theatre Education at NYU in New York, studying in Puerto Rico, Ireland and Mexico. In 2013, she and Chris moved to Seattle and have completely fallen in love with it.
Additionally, she has been working as a Tour Guide at the Pike Place Market in Seattle and subbing in the Bellevue and Seattle school districts. She is so excited to be at here at Shorewood!!!!!
