Professional
Background
I have been an active studio artist and educator for Shoreline
Schools since 1998.
It is my great pleasure to share and teach my expertise of visual
art with young learners.
My formal education occurred at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln
where I majored in both studio art and arts education. My informal
education occurred in the great museums of NYC and Washington D.C.
where I resided during adolescence and college summers. In addition
to Shoreline, I have taught in Colorado, Seattle Schools and The
Northwest School.
In addition to teaching I routinely produce and publicly display
flat and sculptural artwork made from trash. As a sensitive artist
I work toward reducing my carbon footprint. Sample images are
included on this site as well as my course descriptions, on-line
grades, announcements and contact info. I'm at Shorewood all day on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and mid-morning on Tuesdays and
Thursdays.
