Special Education in Shoreline


The Shoreline School District offers a full range of school placement options for students with disabilities ages three to 21 in the least restrictive environment.

  • Blended Preschool Programs for children ages 3-5 with Developmental Delays
  • Specially designed instruction in a K-12 general education classroom
  • Resource Rooms in elementary, middle and high schools for students with mild disabilities
  • Self-Contained Programs for students with Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe and Severe/ Multiple Disabilities at elementary, middle and high school level
  • Programs for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disorders at elementary, middle and high school level
  • Community Based Pre-Vocational Programs, and Independent Living Skills at the secondary level
