Linda Strong (AKA Slinning)
Syre Student Counselor
Hello,
Many of you know me as Ms. Slinning, I am now Mrs Strong as I was
just married :)
This is my ninth year working for Syre, I worked in the BRITE
program as a Behavior Tech for the first 4 years, and for the
latter five I have been here as a student counselor. I am
very excited about working at Syre, I love the schol, the students,
the staff and the families. I believe that the Syre community is
truly the best place to be - in so many ways.
My role at Syre is to help students and families be succesful
socially, academically and emotionally. I support students through
small groups, individual counseling, classroom guidance lessons and
by being involved in the Syre community.
When I am not working at Syre and Shorecrest, I enjoy spending time
with my family and friends. My husband and I just got married in
Venice, Italy (August of 2006), it was a wonderful and
beautiful experience! I currently live in Everett, with my husband
Chris, my step-son Ty, my dog Cody and of course Tiger the cat.
Some other things I enjoy are: soccer, skiing, and
traveling
I will be working at Syre half time as I am also counseling for
Shorecrest High School for the other half. I will do my best to
