Welcome to the Resource Room!

Welcome to the 2017-18 school year!!!

Summer was a blast but I am excited to be retuning to Syre for another amazing year!  I am a veteran teacher who has worked in the world of education for the last 17 years.  Before joining the Shoreline family, I worked for a private school for students with learning disabilities, both teaching and being the assessment coordinator. I then worked for an educational technology company for 8 years conducting usability studies, collaborating with the instructional design team and providing teacher training and support. My earliest teaching experiences were all around early childhood education.  I am thrilled to be working side by side with such amazing educators and incredible students at Syre.

I have a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!) and a BA in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University. In August 2015 I finished all of the course work to take the exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).   I live in Mountlake Terrace with my husband Adam and our two sons, AJ and Avery.  AJ is thrilled to be a 2nd grader, and Avery is at preschool. Both boys are into playing soccer and baseball and keeping me on my toes! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my boys play, reading, scrapbooking and swimming.
