Priscilla Lewis' Biographical Info As one of the Technology Integration Specialists (TISs) in the Shoreline School District, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. As many of your know, my name is Priscilla Eide Lewis and I have had the wonderful experience of teaching various grades as a classroom teacher in elementary school for sixteen years from Mississippi to Maine to Washington. In addition, I have been a Technology Integration Specialist for the past three years. Last year I was one of the Technology Integration Specialists at Lake Forest Park Elem. and Briarcrest Elem. Prior to that, I worked at the secondary level in the Shoreline School District and even prior to that I was the Technology Integration Specialist at North City Elementary. A few highlights in my teaching career have included: coaching and judging Odyssey of the Mind and Math Olympiad, participating in the video production of Vickie Spandel’s book Seeing With New Eyes (6-Trait Writing), being selected as a 2000 Teacher Leadership/Gate’s Foundation Grant Recipient, having an article published in the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) journal Primary Voices in January 2001, and participating in the recent BER video production: Using Differentiated Instructional Strategies to Meet the Learning Needs of Gifted Students. Most recently, I was selected by OSPI to be a WA K-8 Math Standards Professional Development Facilitator. On a personal note, my husband Dan and I live in Shoreline with our two children (Keelin and Quincy) and and our two cats (Carmel and Ginger). I graduated from Evangel University in 1986 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I received my Master’s Degree in Education from Western Washington University in 1998. Currently I am working a (.6) contract and my schedule will be as follows: Lake Forest Park Elementary Wednesday: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Echo Lake Elementary Thursday: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM Syre Elementary Friday: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM  |
